India Collection - Silk Kantha
We LOVE the Kantha stitching tradition of South India and Bangladesh. Kantha stitching is generally, a running stitch applied to cotton saris to re-purpose into bed covers. We were looking for that same technique on silk because of its rich sheen, durability and warmth. Mission accomplished!
We have engaged with a family business in India holding an ethical production - producing one-of-a-kind, up-cycled vintage silk sari scarves and traditional sized shawls.
